1. Overview
This notice explains how personal information is handled when you interact with a wedding hosted on Pinnacle Weddings — whether you are a guest submitting an RSVP or a couple managing guest data.
2. Who Is Responsible for Your Data?
The couple (or wedding host) using Pinnacle Weddings is typically the data controller for guest information. They decide what to collect, how to use it, and who to share it with (caterers, venues, etc.).
Pinnacle Weddings acts as a data processor, providing software to store and display guest data on the couple's instructions.
3. Information Collected from Guests
RSVP and guest features may collect:
- Name and contact details (email, phone, address).
- RSVP status (attending, declined, pending).
- Meal preferences, allergies, and dietary restrictions.
- Accessibility or accommodation needs.
- Plus-one names and household grouping.
- Travel-related preferences (hotel, shuttle) if the couple enables those fields.
- Notes or messages the guest or couple adds.
4. How Guest Data Is Used
Guest data is used to help the couple plan their wedding: headcounts, seating, catering, communications, and day-of logistics.
Pinnacle may send transactional emails (e.g., RSVP confirmation or notification to the couple) when configured.
We do not use guest data for our own marketing unless the guest separately creates a Pinnacle account and opts in.
5. Public Wedding Websites
Couples may publish wedding websites with couple names, dates, schedules, and other details. Password-protected sites limit public access.
Do not submit sensitive information on public pages beyond what the couple requests.
6. Retention
Guest data is retained while the couple maintains an active account and wedding profile. Deletion requests should be directed to the couple first; they can update or delete guest records in the app.
Couples may contact us to delete their entire account and associated guest data.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information. Contact the couple hosting the wedding in the first instance.
You may also contact hello@pinnacleweddings.com and we will assist in routing your request to the appropriate controller or processing it where we are legally required to do so.
8. Security
We protect guest data with the same security measures described in our Privacy Policy, including encryption in transit and access controls.
9. Pinnacle Privacy Policy
For information about how Pinnacle processes account holder data and our role as processor, see our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Addendum.
